Doctors

Dr. Tritsch co-owns and is the CEO of Central Kentucky Veterinary Center. He graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990 after attending the University of Kentucky. His specialties include surgery and canine reproduction. Dr. Tritsch is married with 5 children and 7 grandchildren! He shares his house with two dogs and one cat. When he isn’t hard at work, he especially enjoys time on the lake.

Started with Practice: May 1990

Dr. Bollinger is co-owner and facilities manager of CKVC. He attended the University of Kentucky for his undergraduate in 2003, and from there he went on to Auburn University to receive his Doctorate. In 2024, he earned his CCAT from North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Bollinger specializes in surgery, canine reproduction, and rehabilitation therapy. He has one dog (Remi) and one cat (Reese). Will especially enjoys boating, spending time outdoors, and hanging out with his wife, Megan, and daughter, Harper.

Started with Practice: 2007

Dr. Fuller is a co-owner and is the medical director of CKVC and started as a veterinary assistant back in 2004! At the University of Kentucky, he obtained his bachelor’s degree in animal sciences in 2008. From there he graduated from Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 where he came back to CKVC as a DVM. Some of his specialties are soft tissue surgery, wound repair, and ultrasonography. Outside of work Kevin spends as much time with his family as he can and loves to travel. His family includes his wife, Lynn, of 15 years, and two girls Reagan and Abigail. To round out the family they have one dog (Luka) that is a hound mix.

Dr. Xu started in January 2018 and has specialized in feline medicine and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Xu is an Auburn University graduate of 2017, after graduating from the University of Kentucky in 2013. She and her husband are the proud parents of Julius, born 2024! It is no surprise that Dr. Xu is also mom to three felines of her own. Outside of work Katie is an avid traveler, foodie, reader, and supporter of Kentucky sports!

Started with Practice: January 2018

Dr. Rogers joined the practice in June of 2022. His family includes his wife Alyson, son Kyler, cats Calvin and Boo, and a pit bull mix named Booker. He received his bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Kentucky, and he graduated from Auburn University with his doctorate in 2022. Austin’s specialties include general wellness, cardiology, orthopedics, and surgery- both soft tissue and orthopedic. Outside of work he enjoys golfing, spending time with his family, camping, and Kentucky football and basketball.

Started with Practice: 2017 (as an assistant!) June 2022 (as a DVM)

Dr. Armstrong graduated from Auburn University of Veterinary Medicine in 2021 and obtained her bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville in 2017. Dr. Armstrong is originally from Mayfield, KY, and joined the team at CKVC in December 2022. Her specialties range from emergency and feline medicine to exotic care! Outside of CKVC she enjoys spending time with her two cats (Pippa and Gemma), reading, traveling, and listening to podcasts.

Dr. Sharp has worked at CKVC on and off since 2015! She is a 2024 graduate of The Ohio State University, having accomplished her undergraduate degree in 2020 from Morehead State University. Taylor is especially interested in the kidney and brain functions and is looking forward to serving the clients and patients of CKVC. She shares her home with two cats Marshmallow aka Marsha, and Novacaine aka Nova! Taylor’s hobbies are hiking, weightlifting, gardening, painting, building stuff, and cooking/baking.

Administration

Amy started with CKVC in July 1991 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. In 2011 she became the office manager and in 2024 she became the practice manager. Her passion for veterinary medicine has driven her to where she is today. She loves being able to help our team grow as individuals and see the practice become more progressive in veterinary care. She received her bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology from Morehead State University in 1991. Amy loves reading, camping, cooking, and crafting. She and her husband have one dog and one cat- Zoey the boxer, and Lilly the cat!

Started with Practice: July 1991

Alyssa started at CKVC in June of 2023 after moving here from Michigan. She has worked in veterinary medicine as an assistant, receptionist, and office assistant. Her degree is in Security and Loss Prevention, but anytime she transitioned away from veterinary medicine she found her way back! Alyssa’s favorite activities include pet photography, spending time with her family, and reading. Her and her sister (Korey) have three dogs- Duckie, Tadpole, and Bramble.

Started with Practice: June 2023

Sarah joined CKVC in April 2024, bringing her passion for helping others to the role of Administrative Assistant. With a background in medical coding and library assistance, Sarah is new to Veterinary Medicine. She has enjoyed getting to know our clients and their pets, and helping them through both happy and challenging times. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, and her furry family members including her dog, Banjo, and her cat Jax. Sarah also enjoys reading, kayaking, and attending concerts.

Lindsey started at CKVC in June of 2024. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Equine Science from Morehead State University in 2017. Lindsey has a special interest in large animals and exotics, neonatal care, and wildlife rehabilitation. Her beloved pets include three horses: Elvis, Fred, and Chica; three goats: Newton, Nemo, and Norman; ten chickens; a cat named O’Malley; and a coy dog called Kenleigh. Outside of work, her favorite activities are reading, hunting, and anything related to horses.

Pharmacy

Amanda joined CKVC in April 2024. She has been in the pharmacy field for 25 years, but has been certified since January of 2024. This is her first experience as a Pharmacy Tech for a veterinary clinic. When she is not filling prescriptions, she enjoys observing surgeries and viewing x-rays. Amanda has been married to her husband, Dustin, for 16 years, and together they have two children, Avianna and Grayson. Their beloved pets include two bunnies, Burrow and Armando; four guinea pigs, Nugget, Jasper, Olive, and Poppy; three dogs, Romeo, Pepper, and Kaido; and two cats, Callie and Matilda. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys working on jigsaw and crossword puzzles, but her favorite thing to do is cheering for her favorite football teams, the Cincinnati Bengals and the University of Kentucky.

Reproduction Department

Tonya started at CKVC in January of 2018. She graduated from Morehead State University in May 1998, and specializes in canine reproduction, radiology, and health certificates. Fun fact- she is so loved by the staff that her nickname is “Momma Ton!” At home she and her husband Wendell have three daughters- Shelby, Lilly, and Anslee. Her pets are Sarah Jane (Border Collie mix), Maggie Mae (English setter/heeler mix), Harper Kate (Blue Heeler), and cats Allison, Smokey Joe, Theodore, Charles, and Stella. Tonya’s favorite past times are flower gardening, RZR riding, helping her kids with 4H/FFA Livestock projects, reading, and going to a cabin up in the mountains to unwind!

Steph graduated from Midway University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and in communication. She started at CKVC in April 2021, and is an advanced assistant with special interest in canine reproduction. Her positive attitude and willingness to help where needed is invaluable to CKVC. Steph and her fiancé, Wayne, have 2 daughters! Their names are Cora and Madelyn. To round out their family they have 2 Great Pyrenees littermates- Eleanor and Nola. Some of Steph’s hobbies include planning out themed parties for her girls, crafting, scrapbooking, and resin crafts.

Canine Rehabilitation

Korey is our Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner and moved here from Michigan in 2023! She received her bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology from Baker College of Flint, and she obtained her CCRP degree from the University of Tennessee. Korey has always been an animal lover, and grew up with dogs, cats, and goats. Her current pets include three English Setters (Duckie, Tadpole, and Bramble). Some of her other interests besides Rehabilitation Therapy include wound management, canine nutrition, and dog behavior. Outside of work she enjoys woodworking, gardening, and being outside with the dogs.

Veterinary Technicians

EJ is a 2020 graduate of Murray State University! Her energy and drive for quality medicine, team culture, and pet advocacy has led to her being the Team Lead for our Licensed Veterinary Technicians. She especially loves emergency medicine and surgery. Outside of work EJ is close with her parents and sister and loves gaming, drawing/painting, and hiking. EJ’s sidekicks at home include Lundy, a pitbull, and 2 domestic shorthairs named JJ and Violet. EJ’s secret talent…? She can hypnotize chickens!

Sarah is a LVT that started at CKVC in 2018. She has grown to become our lead technician of surgery and is known for her passion to save animals. Sarah received her license in 2020 and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in 2022 from Morehead State University. She is married and has an older brother and twin sister. Sarah was in a bluegrass band with her sister, and they still sing together when they can! Other hobbies include hiking, hunting, and painting/drawing. Her pets at home include 2 dogs, 5 cats, 5 chickens, and 2 horses!

Christina started as CKVC as a receptionist in 2018. She has also worked as a Veterinary Assistant in 2022 before becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2023, where she earned her license as Veterinary Technician. Outside of work Christina loves to spend time with her husband, Bryan, and her son, Carson. Her furry family members are her dog, Sawyer, and her Cat, Arizona. She also likes to read when she has time.

Hillarey is a 2008 graduate of Cedar Valley College AAHA Veterinary Technology program and has been in veterinary medicine for over 24 years! She especially enjoys sports and internal medicine. Hillarey isn’t originally from Kentucky- she grew up in Buffalo, NY, but she says she doesn’t miss the lake effect snow at all! There are four pets in her home: Dobby the Golden Retriever, Tonks the Hound mix, and Luna and Albus the cats. Hillarey is involved in several dog sports including dock diving, agility, FastCAT, and barn hunt. Dobby has been invited to the Dog Diving Nationals 4 years in a row! Hillarey also spends her time crafting and participating in competitive shooting.

Cassidy earned her degree from Murray State University in December 2019. She joined CKVC in April 2022 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has a strong interest in ultrasounds—both in observation and assistance—as well as venipuncture. Her pets include her cats, Murph and Helenea, her dog Giselle, and her horses Magic and Starter, the latter of which she has cared for since she was about 5-years-old. In her free time, Cassidy enjoys riding and training horses, and reading.

Mikala joined CKVC in December 2022, and she is devoted to patient care and client communication. She received her bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology from Morehead State University in May 2024. Her two cats are both domestic shorthairs- Chubbs and Cactus Jack. Her favorite ways to unwind at home are reading poetry/memoirs, taking naps, listening to R and B, and spending time with friends. Not sure if Mikala is working? She is proud to say that she will always be the loudest one in the room- so all you have to do is listen!

Sarah joined us in January of 2023 and her interests range from patient care to exotics (especially guinea pigs and rabbits)! At home she has one cat, Phoenix, and enjoys dancing, working out, hiking, and listening to music. Sarah graduated from Morehead State University in May 2022, and hopes to one day experience a zoo or aquarium/marine rescue environment. Fun fact: Sarah is a “leftie!”

Laykin is our “silly goose!” (Check out our Facebook videos for proof!) She has been a part of the team since March of 2023 after graduating from Morehead State University in 2022. Her special interests include surgery and being a part of a feline friendly practice. Laykin shares her home with two cats- Trix and Trinity, and loves reading, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

Kathy is a 1993 graduate of Morehead State University. Prior to Morehead, Kathy graduated from Midway College in 1991. She has three daughters- Blake, Morgan, and Destiny, along with two German Shepherds (Lola and Zeke), one pit bull (Solo), and one orange tabby cat (Butters). Some of her favorite past times are reading, playing cards, cooking, and watching tv. Fun fact- Kathy can even clog dance! Kathy started at CKVC in June 2023, and we are happy to have her!
